When a new door is the answer, we confirm rough opening, swing direction, jamb depth and hardware placement before anything is ordered.
Step 3
Install level and plumb
The door is shimmed and set so it closes evenly and stays where you leave it, then hardware is fitted and tested.
Step 4
Finish the opening
Casing, caulk and weatherstripping are completed so the installation looks intentional and seals the way it should.

My door sticks. Do I need a new one?
Usually not. Sticking is often caused by loose hinges, a shifted jamb or seasonal swelling, all of which can be adjusted. We only recommend replacement when the door or frame is genuinely past repair.
Can you install a door I already purchased?
Yes. We install homeowner-supplied doors and hardware regularly. Sending us the model and dimensions ahead of time helps us confirm it will fit the opening.
Do you install smart locks and deadbolts?
We do. Smart locks, deadbolts, levers and handlesets can be installed on both new and existing doors, including boring a new hole when the door is not pre-drilled.
Can you fix a drafty exterior door?
In most cases yes, by adjusting the door, replacing weatherstripping and installing a new sweep or threshold rather than replacing the whole unit.
