Minimum Scheduled Project Total
Scheduled visits carry a $175 minimum project total. Selected tasks are combined into one estimated project total; if the selected work totals less than $175, the project total is adjusted up to the minimum.
There are no hourly, half-day, or full-day handyman packages. Pricing is task based.
Planning Prices Versus Confirmed Written Prices
Prices shown on this website and in the online project builder are planning prices. They help you estimate a realistic budget before we review your project.
A confirmed price is issued in writing after we review your photos, measurements, and project details. Work is scheduled only after you approve the written scope and price.
Project Variables
Final pricing can change based on material selection and availability, access and working height, actual measured quantities, substrate and existing-condition quality, paint or finish coverage, and disposal requirements.
Photos and measurements you provide directly improve the accuracy of the written price.
Concealed Conditions and Change Orders
Conditions hidden behind finishes — such as water damage, rot, pest damage, prior unpermitted work, or non-standard framing — cannot be priced before they are exposed.
If a concealed condition is found, work pauses and we issue a written change order describing the added scope and price. Additional work begins only after written approval.
General Contractor Threshold
Reliable Home Handyman LLC provides defined-scope repairs, installations, maintenance, and cosmetic improvements. Projects valued at $40,000 or more, structural alterations, and work requiring a North Carolina licensed general contractor are not offered.
Electrical, Plumbing, and Heating and Air-Conditioning Limitations
Reliable Home Handyman LLC is not a licensed North Carolina general, electrical, plumbing, or heating and air-conditioning contractor.
We do not offer electrical contracting, panel upgrades, new circuits, plumbing installation, repiping, water-heater work, drainage-system work, or complete heating and air-conditioning installations or replacements.
Plumbing-related and heating and air-conditioning work is limited to minor repair and maintenance on existing equipment and fixtures where permitted. Licensed-trade work is contracted directly between the homeowner and the appropriately licensed contractor.
EPA Section 608 Universal Certification
Austin holds an EPA Section 608 Universal technician certification. This is a federal refrigerant-handling certification only.
It is not a North Carolina heating and air-conditioning contractor license, and it does not expand the scope of work we offer. We do not perform refrigerant charging, refrigerant leak repair, or system installation or replacement.
Questions about scope or pricing? Send your project details and we will tell you exactly what we can and cannot do.
