The Challenge
The dining room had plain walls with no architectural detail, which made a well-furnished room still feel unfinished.
Work Completed
- Measured and laid out panel spacing across each wall
- Installed rails, stiles and panel molding
- Fit trim around outlets, corners and door openings
- Filled, caulked and sanded for a paint-ready finish
- Painted the panel work and upper walls
Materials & Features
- Picture frame panel molding
- Continuous top rail
- Two-tone paint scheme
The Result
The wainscoting gives the room a defined lower section and a clear break line, and the contrast with the upper wall color makes the space feel intentional and complete.
